I’ve been taking a photography class for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Just a beginner class, nothing too intense. I’ve been trying to get use to carrying my camera around more. Trying to get used to holding a camera out in public.

The class itself has been pretty cool. I’ve been working at an internship all summer, so it’s nice to do something extracurricular during the week. It sounds like we’re going to be doing some pretty cool stuff, including some studio workshops.

These pictures are kind of delayed.. they’re from this past Canada Day. Started off the day at Kits Beach to watch Showboat. Dance performances aren’t really my thing usually, but some of these kids were pretty good. From the beach I went to Lonsdale Quay and waited for the fireworks, which turned out to be a pretty big letdown. I don’t know what I was expecting… but pretty dinky fireworks overall. What WAS cool though, was leaving early on the Seabus to beat the rush of people, and watching the last couple minutes on the water.
